Third Test: Preview

 After the heroics of Lord’s, Leeds is the next stop for team India as the third test match will be played there. India has won both the last test matches they played here and will be looking forward to making it 3 in a row. Indian team looks well settled as we move ahead in the series and a change in the team is not really expected.

England’s Mark Wood was injured during the second test and is ruled out of the third test, England was already having problems with their bowling attack as Stuart Broad got injured and now Mark Wood. Saqib Mahmood and Craig Overton are the 2 possible replacements for Mark, looking at the way Saqib bowled in the ODI series against Sri Lanka it is very much possible Saqib is handed his first debut test match.


Leeds has been a venue for some of the iconic batting performances and is a goof pitch to bat on, Ben Stokes’s iconic Ashes knock came in this ground only and we’ll be hoping for another cracker of a game when India and England play on 25th August.

Shardul Thakur is now available for selection after recovering from his injury. However, he might not play as the side is already looking well balanced. Ashwin might get a chance in place of Jadeja as he hasn’t been able to take any wickets in the last 2 matches.  Let’s hope for some rain-free test cricket now, hoping for India to take another win under the belt.

England's Sub side thrashed Pakistan!

England’s fans had a lot of doubts going into this game as there were a lot of newcomers and then Pakistan had an experienced squad, so the scales were tipped in the favor of Pakistan, but the way this England team performed was amazing, they’ve forced the Pakistan Team to think about the way they play and how they will go about their cricket from now on. Pakistan crumbled for 141 with only Fakhar Zamam being able to get a decent score of 47 while the rest of the team could barely contribute. Saqib Mahmood of England was able to get 2 wickets in the first over of the match as he dismissed the Pakistani captain Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq, this caused early problems for the visitor as they failed to get any momentum and the result was a below par score on the board. Thoughts on the T20WC Squad

  With all due respect to all the players, I'll be just writing my opinion in this blog post which will be backed by some stats and past performances. The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in UAE and Oman in October and a few nations have already named their squads that are going to take part in the world cup. India announced their World Cup squad on 8th September. It looks like a well-balanced squad with a few fast bowlers and a rather spin-dominant bowling attack.
